Who we are
A vending company built on a simple idea: machines that are actually stocked, actually working, and serviced quickly when something goes wrong.
Why Tive exists
Tive was founded in 2024 by Abdalla Issa, out of a simple observation: offices, hostels, and busy public spaces across Kenya were underserved by reliable, well-stocked vending machines. Too often, machines sat empty, broken, or forgotten, a bad experience for the people trying to use them, and a missed opportunity for the businesses hosting them.
We set out to do vending differently, installing machines at no cost to the location, keeping them properly stocked, and responding fast when something needs fixing. Today, Tive operates machines at locations including Moi International Airport and several student hostels in Nairobi, with M-Pesa and cashless payment built into every unit.
We believe vending should be easy for the location owner and reliable for the person buying a snack. That means machines that are actually stocked, actually working, and serviced quickly when something goes wrong.

How we think about vending
Honest about fit
We only install where the foot traffic supports it. If a location isn't a good fit, we'll tell you honestly. We'd rather say no upfront than install a machine that underperforms.
Proactive, not reactive
We restock proactively, not when a machine runs out. We monitor stock levels remotely and schedule restocks based on how fast each location sells through.
Payment that works for Kenya
We use M-Pesa-enabled machines so payment is never a barrier for customers. Cash is also accepted. A machine that's hard to pay at doesn't sell.
Currently serving Nairobi & Mombasa
Our machines are active at Moi International Airport in Mombasa and at several student hostels in Nairobi. We are actively placing new machines at additional locations across both cities.
